Helping your film look amazing on the big screen is our business.

Helping your film look amazing on the big screen is our business.
Phoenix DCP was created for independent filmmakers who care deeply about how their work looks and sounds on the big screen. We share that passion and we believe high-quality DCPs shouldn’t come with inflated prices.
We started this company because we saw too many filmmakers overpaying for a service that should be accessible. Our goal is simple: deliver professional-grade DCPs at fair prices. We love being part of the journey that brings your film to life in theaters, and we’re confident you’ll love the results.
Please reach us with the form above or email us at info@phoenixdcp.us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We get this question all the time. Simply put, we love independent film and want to support filmmakers. We charge what we believe is fair for high-quality DCP creation—no inflated pricing.
You can either send us a download link to your digital file or we will send you our upload link. You can also mail a physical copy to the address we’ll provide after your order is placed.
A DCP (Digital Cinema Package) is the industry standard format for screening films in theaters with digital projection. It contains your film’s video, audio, and metadata in a format that ensures consistent, high-quality playback across all cinema systems.
Not necessarily. While 24 FPS is the most widely accepted and required by some theaters, modern cinematic servers can handle other full frame rates like 25, 30, or 60 FPS. If your film uses a fractional frame rate (e.g., 23.976 or 29.97), we’ll convert it during the DCP process—without affecting quality.
The standard format used by cinema servers is Linux, EXT3 format. If you're sending a CRU drive directly to a theater, this is the best option. For personal drives that you are not sending to a theater, we can format your drive to just about any format you like, but most other formats do not work for theaters.
While not required, a CRU drive is highly recommended—especially for feature films. It’s the industry standard for theater delivery and allows for faster ingestion into cinema servers. We suggest using a CRU drive when sending your film directly to a theater. Many theaters will also accept a USB hard drive (SSD is best option after a CRU drive).
High-quality video is essential with uncompressed audio if possible (ProRes is preferred) but other formats are accepted. For audio, a 5.1 surround mix is ideal (L R C LFE Ls Rs), though stereo is also supported. We cannot enhance low-quality submissions.
Yes, every DCP is quality-checked to ensure proper formatting.
Absolutely. We regularly have orders for multiple drives. Many clients request one CRU drive for theaters and a USB drive for personal or desktop viewing.
Yes! We regularly produce DCPs for commercials and pre-show slides. These are typically short and may not require a CRU drive—but check with your venue before ordering.
After your order is placed, you will receive an automated email and receipt from Phoenix DCP with all the info you need.
